We had a wonderful time canoeing through the islands. We learned about local culture and history, enjoyed a light snack and got to paddle peacefully through the Dutch countryside with a few other people. Saw ducks, geese, cows, goats, fish and more. Truly a peaceful paddle through a freshwater paradise. Loved it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis experience was easily the highlight of my partner\u2019s and my time in Amsterdam. Majel was warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the region she led us around. With her expertise, we were able to know what bird songs belonged to each bird, what purpose every plant served for life in Holland, and how the region has changed and will continue to change throughout history. My partner said to me after we left the bus terminal where Majel dropped us off, that he has never been more aware of a core memory being formed while experiencing it, and I wholeheartedly agree. I would highly recommend going on this lovely paddle with Majel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Heerlijke dag gehad in de kano: de stilte, de prachtige natuur, de gids die zeer interessante informatie geeft over waterbeheer, flora & fauna en natuurlijk de verrukkelijke picknick, inclusief uitbuiken, en dan weer rustig verder peddelen.
De relaxte aanpak zorgt voor een tijdloos gevoel waardoor je helemaal weg bent uit de stadsdrukte en helemaal in de natuur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Majel was very welcoming and friendly. She was very nice to talk to and was very informative about the history and ecology of the route’s environment. We gained a lot of knowledge and memorable experiences, and even ended the session with a warm cup of tea (and tasty oliebollen!). It was definitely worthwhile and we would recommend it to anyone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGreat natural experience only a few minutes outside of Amsterdam. Understanding the balance of the countryside, some about the Dutch culture and also the Cutest Village of Watergang were the highlights. This was a fun, different way to spend most of a day and have a chance to escape the busy Amsterdam city center while getting a bit of exercise too. The guide, Majel, who is also the owner of the tour company will wait outside the Amsterdam Central train station in the morning. You will take a local bus and travel a short distance into the country right outside Amsterdam. It will give you a quick view of life outside the city. It is amazing how fast the city stops and the fields begin. The town is criss-crossed with waterways. Canoeing through the village and through a local nature preserve, you will get an explanation as to how the land has been actually created by the Dutch out of lakes and ponds. No prior canoeing experience would be necessary. If you are interested, the company has a website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kam Wai (Amsterdam\/ Hong Kong)<\/strong>
Dank voor je uitstekende begeleiding en geduld met mijn typische stadsmensen als mijn familie uit Hong Kong. De kinderen vonden achteraf de trilveen erg spannend, al stonden ze toen waarschijnlijk voor je neus wat verdwaald te kijken (“waarom sta ik in de modder?!?”). We hebben prachtige wolkenpartijen gezien en die twee grote plensbuien van een half minuut hebben ons zeer goed gedaan. De kanotoer heeft diepe indruk achtergelaten bij de kinderen, zelf heb ik me kostelijk vermaakt. Dank hiervoor!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Majel, I had a very good time on your wetlandssafari tour on 3th August with people from Hawaii. It was a lot of fun. Thank you very much for your nice guided tour. I continued my travel in Belgium and enjoyed it. Yesterday I came back to Japan. It is hot and humid this summer in Japan. I wish you a good summer and I hope I’ll visit Amsterdam again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ik was in m’n eentje met een klein groepje Amerikanen en het was de laatste tour van het jaar maar aan het enthousiasme van onze gids niet te merken. Zo’n prachtige tocht onder de rook van Amsterdam (waar ik al 33 jaar woon). Ik heb veel geleerd over vogels en planten, over de oorsprong van dit gebied en zelfs over het poldermodel van onze vorige regering.. Dat schijnt hier ergens z’n oorsprong te vinden. De lunch was heerlijk, het weer zat mee, kortom: heerlijk!

Taalcentrum-VU, Amsterdam<\/strong>
We begonnen met vage, maar hooggespannen verwachtingen aan onze safaridag – en ze werden allemaal overtroffen. Het kano\u00ebn was geweldig leuk, de uitleg van de gids leerzaam en verhelderend, de picknick op het drijfveen was een pure traktatie. Organisatie: perfect. Een mooie dag in een mooi gebied: een absolute aanrader!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ik wilde jullie namens onze sectie (en de organisatie!) nog even ontzettend bedanken voor de perfecte organisatie van ons bedrijfsuitje. We hebben een prachtige dag gehad!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a quick message to say thank-you for organising a wonderful day for Cirque du Soleil. The tandems, canoes and especially the lovely lunch outside with super lovely food and fruit salad. Everyone enjoyed themselves, and we will remember it as a great day for sure.   I will definitely recommend this to other companies too, should anyone need an idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
